overall assessment of the tinkering process at this point: feels just like another rewrite (but without the plot changes)
ETA for editing: still tentatively end-of-week (or beginning of next *g*)
character who is now going into the office without combat boots: Subaru
because the receptionist has become a plot device instead of a scene decoration.
